Bus, train or fly?
Every route, honestly.
Vietnam is long and the right way between two places is rarely obvious — a flight that costs the same as the train, or a scenic rail leg worth taking slowly. Each corridor below lists every realistic option, what it costs, and the one we would take.
The north
Hanoi is the hub — almost every northern leg starts or ends there.
The centre
Short hops along the coast, with Da Nang as the airport for Hoi An.
The south
Saigon fans out to the delta, the highlands and the island.
Between regions
The long legs. Usually a flight, unless the train is the point.
